ABS issue: Back brake lever very stiff

The back brake lever on my 2018 GTS Super 125 locks up soon after pulling away. I've been told it's a ABS module fault and can be very expensive to correct/repair. Any ideas/suggestions/opinions/solution?

Remove the fuse that is for the abs and go for a ride.

This could also come from an ABS sensor fault.
