Has anybody with a 530 changed their oil yet. I find nothing but contradictions online. Some sites list HF-184 others 940-01 or 0313383. Can't read numbers of installed cartridge without partial uninstall. Even the one German translated service manual I managed to get (thank you danfromeugene) does not list which cartridge it takes. The owners manual only lists 1.7 liters of 05-40, no cartridge identity.

It is getting to be about that time and need to be ordering it soon. Any Help?

At its core, it is still a Master engine just like first MP3 500 from way back when so in all likelihood the 530 still use the same filter

HF184 is the one I have used a couple of times, but I use the original Piaggio primarily and the Malossi red filter as a backup.

You can also use MANN MW77 as well as MAHLE OC11

Be aware that the correct refill capacity is 1,5 Liters. Piaggio still has not corrected that misprint in almost 20 years

Thought I would update this with what was actually used from the factory. It was a 1A024331 Tuareg filter. Which is a 76mm 8 flute cartridge. Could not find it available anywhere, so replaced with 0313383 Malossi Red Chilli filter. Which is a 76 mm 12 flute cartridge. Hope this helps someone.

HF 184 filter is a great filter readily available and reasonably priced.

I believe the HF-184 is also a 76mm 12 flute cartridge. Which uses the KiWAV Oil Filter Wrench Removal tool for BMW. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IZGDV6G?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
The fitting is real tight to get the channel lock type filter wrench I have in there, this tool makes it cake.

or you could use the buzzetti that works on all brands of filters https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/oil-filter-disassembly-tool-buzzetti_BU5106?cr=e993ab67-6807-4109-bbed-f6374ebf9f9b&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvb-zBhCmARIsAAfUI2vsyS32JSkDZB_cJwNivNL0KmQr6B1ky3hUNqeRvFKiWT39aIupRG4aAi1DEALw_wcB

Had a Hf 184 that I couldn't get off. Bought this at Harbour Fright and it worked like a charm. I also just learned that different oil filters have different flutes. Some 8, others 12.
