I also want to replace the fuel line as its looking a bit perished. A new OEM, shaped one is about $100 - could I replace with fuel hose and route the same way around the engine? Also planning to add an extra filter.

IIRC, it wasn't as tight as the original, but it is certainly working well enough. Ask me again in 20,000 more miles.
