Hello. I replaced the short hose for the vacuum fuel tap that is accessible from the left side of the bike and decided to pull the bodywork off to see if any other hoses needed replacement and noticed there was one hose that was disconnected.

(see first Pic 1)

I followed the line and it goes to the cannister where it "T"s off... the other line continuing to the roll-over valve.

There are two possible connections on the carb (see Pic 2). Which one does it go into?

Note... there seems to be a piece broken off inside the hose with it's counterpart inside the lower of the two holes shown in the pic.

Somebody told me it is emmissions related and will not affect the performance. Is that true? To fix it properly, I need to remove the carb and I'm trying to see if this is something I can put off til the winter time.

Thanks in advance.

The upper hole is a vent for the fuel bowl and that is where this hose goes to.
