Just a 4 year vet with a 2008 GTS 250. I have managed to break the front fender, to where it was rubbing the front tire. So I should get it replaced, but is there a reason not to replace it with a GTV fender & light instead? Obviously, will have to do some wiring, is there a big reason not to? Maybe paint of a GTS color is a no-no for GTV, but black goes with all colors, no?

You're going to have to drop the fork, which is a decent sized job. While it's apart you could inspect, service or replaced the headset bearings, maybe consult the workshop/ service manuals to see if there is anything else that you can perform while it's apart.

I would guess you can swap with a GTV fender. As long as the wiring is routed and tied in correctly it should be Ok. Not sure if the GTV has different wiring clips for tidy routing.

Maybe an LED bulb conversion so it draws less power?

Might be cool if you have the headlights on different switches to control which headlight is on, off.. etc..

Unfortunately, fresh parts does not sell across the pond. Not sure if I can find a retailer who would buy it, then sell & ship to the US
