I'm looking at a 63 Vespa Allstate. It's been restored and the owner says that the engine has been rebuilt. I've not seen it run in person, but have seen a video of it running. It doesn't have a title, but the seller says it's easy to get a title with a bill of sale. I'm a little skeptical, and have to look into that. Any thoughts as what I should be looking for? The price is $4000, I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
What do you guys think?
Thanks

That is high. Does he have every receipt for all the work done? For $4,000 you could do a lot better.

And it kills me that so many sellers tell you it's easy to get a title. If that's so, why don't they do that? Or a better one is to tell you to file for a lost title, ignoring the fact that you have to prove that you are the one that lost it to begin with. I won't buy things from lazy people, as they could be slacking off on something else that needed done, but ignored it.

LOL, right?!

4k with no Title is a big NOPE! if it is so easy, just go get one.

For $4k? Maybe I should sell one of mine… that's an absurdly high price for an Allstate.

have you ever shopped around for 100/101's?

perhaps for a mid 60's. certainly for a mid-60's without a Title.

Fair point, I should have specified tying the price to the 60's scoots.
