Modern Vespa

Greetings Everyone!

I am a brand-new Vespa owner and rider! I just bought a 2004 ET4 and am wondering how I can find out what she looked like brand new. Is there a website I can go to, to find this information?

She is two-toned red/white right now. I named her Scarlett O'Hara.

Looks like a mostly stock ET4. The passenger pegs are an add-on. The mirrors have been changed (I like these a lot better than the originals). I don't know if the paint is original. I've never seen a two tone ET4. Looks like an original Vespa top box accessory.

Every now and then a shop will swap the plastic bits between scoots.

Somewhere out there is your anti-scoot. If you ever meet you may both be annihilated.

Congratulations on the new to you Vespa and welcome to the forum.

My first Vespa was a 2004 ET4 in silver. Great Vespa. Looks like it was originally red and someone either swiped out the white parts or had them painted. Those parts are fairly easy to remove. As mentioned, the mirrors have been replaced and the passenger pegs added.

This is spot on (the colors, not the annihilation) . In my neighborhood there are 2 LX (a black one, and a Pepto-bismol pink one that have had a panel swap). Both look better than the original bright pink one IMO.
