I need to rearrange my financial life and make some changes that will help facilitate that end.
In doing so, and even though I would be going without a motorbike of my own for the next year, I would emerge from my self-inflicted austerity program next season in a far better position to then go ahead and indulge my powered two-wheeler addiction anew.
The Vespa costs little to own and run however, and I will have to seriously weigh it's value as a pleasant and practical diversion against any gain I might realize from it's departure.
The Triumph admittedly costs a relative butt-load to own and pay for, so it's departure would loosen up a substantial amount that could be redirected elsewhere, with good effect.
Even if both of my personal bikes were to go, I would still have access to Trixie's Triumph Speedmaster when the urge to ride a bike strikes, and then there's the Miata, which, to be honest, is just about as much fun to drive as a motorbike is to ride, in my area anyway.
After a year of cutbacks and redirection of 'resources', I would emerge next spring in pretty good shape, and be able to go out and buy any bike I might fancy.
I now need to sit back, have a coffee, and consider my next move.
Bike selling season is well underway though, and I will need to get things moving in that direction immediately if it's my decision to do it.
