Curious for current thinking on when to do first maintenance for my use cycle. New 2024 Liberty 150. I will typically only go about 10-15 miles per week. At this rate it would take a year to get to the mileage for the first service. Have seen some references to doing 4 months in lieu of mileage if time hit first (though I don't see that in the manual).

Should I change the oils at 4 mo and then do the valve adjustment when I hit the mileage? Do it all at 4 months? Wait for the mileage to come? Thanks!

If at the end of the riding season I hadn't reached the mileage for a first service, I would change the oil. Then next year, when I reached the miles, I'd have the first service (including brake inspection, valve adjustment, etc.) done.

Or, I would ride more.

The first service is at 1000km (620mls) or after 12 months, whichever comes first.
Before that, both an oil change and valve adjustment are unnecessary /pointless.

Download the manual for your Vespa and check the inspection intervals yourself:

Thanks. Have read the manual in detail and it only references mileage and not time. The first suggestion above sounds solid. Thanks!

Agreed, if I were doing your miles - I'd do the same.
Do you have the service manual thru AF1-Racing download?
It's not ideal, IMO, but - I'm not without issues, either!
Loving this scooter!...purchased new summer of 2017.

I'd really recommend getting some longer rides in, and then trying to hit the mileage sooner. Any vehicle tends to work better when it gets a good run every now and then.

This is the right answer. Today it's sunny and 70F in NY metro. Days like this will take the long way home
