Engine rebuild protocols

So, it was last year when I rebuilt the top end of my GTS engine..new rings, rockers and cam. New engines have a break-in protocol, wondering if it's the same with rebuilding?

I've thought about this on and off all year, Just keep forgetting to ask. As I've just been commuting to wok so far, keeping the speed down is a moot point. Is an early oil change recommended,?

Yep, change the oil and filter after the first 500 or so.

I'd change the oil after a few hundred miles. If nothing else, I know how dirty my hands were....
