After rescuing Lily, my once-and-future ET2, from the clutches of the evil id-jit I sold her to 7 years ago, I'm pleased to say that she's whole again and running to beat the band! I have finally become a 2-Vespa garage. Lily was pretty torn up at the hands of a madman who had darn near removed her entire electrical system. To what end, I cannot know. But she's a stone hoot to ride now. I'll refrain from saying what it cost to get her back on the road (I am in NO WAY mechanical, except for inserting a key/turning it to the right/holding the brake lever/pushing a button...), but let's just say I garnered some serious frequent flyer miles on my Amex!
Seriously, though, a shout-out to Sam's Cycle Repair in Rancho Mirage, CA, for some excellent work. Sam and Toby outdid themselves. Sam even told me that had Lily not been a Vespa, he'd have never taken her in. (There were 2 other Wasps at his shop this morning.) Says a lot for our preferred brand.
Enough of my excessive excitement for one post. I now return you to your regularly scheduled forum. Well, after a pic, of course!
BTW -- New leg shield trim is being delivered Monday. Thanks, Scooterwest! A couple more frequent flyer miles!
