Hello, so last summer my Vespa PX125 83' was stolen but luckily the police found it and I got it back. However, the thieves seems to have gotten the vespa running without keys and now I can start it without turning the key or even inserting the key to the lock. Does anyone know how I can fix this so that the key functions again? All the cables seems to be connected correctly.

They pulled the kill wire out from the CDI.

Take a look there for a disconnected/cut wire.

All Wired seems to be correctly connected in the CDI. I removed the wires and connected them again but the problem still stands.

Does the kill switch work?

If so, then the ignition cutoff at the key switch has been bypassed, probably at the junction box under the horncast.

If not, then they cut the kill switch wire somewhere. The fact that it wasn't just disconnected at the CDI is interesting, though.

The vespa doesn't have a kill switch at all. I also screwed open the part between the handlebars (not sure what it's called in english but it's basically under the speedometer and key hole) and there all the wires are connected as well.

probably going to need some pictures inside that headset and of the switch setup

the green wire from cdi to ignition and (normally) kill switch is the one that allows the bike to run or kills it
