I've officially given up on batteries on my Stella. I've tried lead-acid and the newfangled Lithium-iron, and the batteries always die prematurely. The LiFe batteries don't get enough juice from the alternator to recharge. In the past I've just unplugged the battery and run the scoot just fine (despite the Internets saying that you shouldn't do that, I've had zero problems) but now I also want to keep on powering my horn and a cheap LED fog light that I had running on a lead from the horn.

I suppose I need to buy an AC horn? do people run a new wire to the horn (and from where?). I guess I can take the stock horn wire and re-attach it to some AC power source? Just wondering what the cleanest and/or easiest path is to go permanently battery less and to maintain the horn and to power my fog light.

Having an AC horn is like having no horn. It sounds like a duck and no one will pay attention to it. LMLs had crappy regulators from factory, maybe an equivalent Ducati will do the job…
