The bleed valve on my 2008 500 is stuck closed and all my attempts to loosen it have just resulted in a melted nut. I know there is air system that is preventing circulation and the engine is not getting coolant. The is pressure in the system so the pump working.

The only thing I can think of is to do a vacuum bleed. Any one tried this? I find a kit on line that does not use an air line, but can find anymore info on using on a motorcycle.

you can blade the air by opening the higher pipe instant the bleed hose

it is less convenient but it is only for once

Which pipe do you mean? On the coolant pump there are three, do you mean the smaller one on the inside?

the bleed valve is in the head not the stat housing.
I tried the vacuum refill and it seemed to work, but when I started the bike the seals on the reservoir started leaking like mad. They are 16 years old and made for pressure not vacuum.
I got the bike for $2K 6 years ago as a summer commuting bike, so I've got my money out of it. I have donated it to a charity that will take it from me as is and auction it off or sell for scrap.
Now I need to find the money for a 2024 530 Exclusive
