Hopefully someone can advise.

I put the ignition key in and turn it on but no lights appear on the sip speedo) electric start or horn do not work (battery is fully charged) Using the kick start the engine start up but the speedo light randomly appear. indicators do work but there is very low sound from the horn when applied. The odd time when the horn button is pressed the hand on the sip (mph) moves. Using the high/low lights also causes the lights on the dash to disappear. I have checked all the connections including the fuse but it's a complete mystery why it's doing all of the above. Scooter was purchased with the SIP speedo already fitted so I can't refit the original one. I was thinking of buying the older type but would I need to replace the speedo wiring as well?
Thanks

i thought that i had read somewhere that the SIP's PX speedo used some sort of palindrome type connector that could accidentally be plugged in upside down?
