Hi!
I love my 50 Primavera 70th Anniversary scooter... it's amazing. I don't ever wish or need for more speed. It's a local / urban vehicle for me. it is 8 years old, though. It runs fine, but showing its age.

I have been looking at the Electric version for several years. And I really like everything I see.

My local dealer has a 45km version 2020 with 100 miles on it for a great price... and I am seriously considering. Seller (one owner) was deployed and had to move overseas (or so I am told).

I don't "NEED" another scooter.

But it's a good deal and a way to dip my toe in the water. I have an EV and a PHEV and I am a HUGE fan of EV technology and how it / they operate.

Just wondering - if you have personal experience and anything you'd like to share.

If I pull the trigger... likely tomorrow morning.

Thanks!
PIC for attention

Vespa recently released the successor to the Vespa Elettrica (is on sale in Europe since the end of 2023). To mark the proximity to the Vespa Sprint and Vespa Primavera, they are now called "Vespa Sprint Elettrica" and "Vespa Primavera Elettrica" respectively. The big difference is that the battery on the 45 km/h version is removable. The price has also dropped significantly: instead of the previous €6999, the successor with removable battery now only costs €5199 (= -€1800). The 70km/h version is not yet available in Europe, I assume a similar price difference from the old version to the successor (as far as I know, the battery will not be removable on the new 70km/h version).

In order for me to buy an old version now, which is also used (and the warranty is already running/over), it would have to be priced SUBSTANTIALLY lower than the successor.

I don't know much about the electric version of Vespa. I do know on an electric motorcycle such as the Zero, after 5 years the warranty on the batteries is over and the price drop usually reflects that. These batteries can be very expensive to replace, so figure that in on the deal. One last thing: the best reason to own an electric vehicle of any sort is for everyday use. From day one, the batteries are degrading, so it's best to get the most use out of them.
