i took my et2 for a quick ride today after last riding it about five days ago...i noticed today the engine was making a high pitched noise the entire time and was sluggish in terms of acceleration and top speed...i just picked picked it up from the repair shop on May 8 where they replaced the automatic vacuum tap and intake boot...it had been running very well since i got it from the repair shop...will this problem go away or do I need to get the vespa back into the shop...thanks

If there's something wrong, it's not going to fix itself.

Are you in the southeast of England?

Is the noise constant? Or does the noise increase as the speed increases?

As an ET2 owner...who also just got mine outta the shop a couple of weeks ago...if mine suddenly started whining (besides saying something like, "...but I really wanna go to Rio!") or if she were suddenly sluggish, I'd take her back to the mechanic post haste. You're only two weeks out...the shop I go to would at least diagnose w/o charge. They'd probably even tweak the scoot w/o charge, too, if the issue was something minor (which it could be).

Give it a shot.
