Decide to replace the ABS tone wheel on my 2022 GTS 300. No problems in the mechanical part (there is Loctite on the bolts so a heat gun is necessary). So I decided to take it out for a ride. Tried to reset the ASR, while I was riding I noticed the speedometer was not working and the ABS light was lit and the check engine light came on. After a few miles the Speedometer needle moved and is working, but the ABS and check engine light are on.

Searching through the threads cant find anything so far, I was thinking of disconnecting the battery.

All help is welcome, thanks!!!!!

Distance between tone wheel and sensor too large? The workshop manual states 0.5 to 1.5 mm.

further to what GermanGTSDriver said:

Mine has two washers, one each side of the plastic bit of the sensor. very small and easy to loose.

Once it's working ok then a few cycles of on-ride-off will cause it to clear itself.

hey guys thanks again, I put the spacer on the wrong side. everything seems to be working fine now (CEL is still on, but it normally will clear after certain amount of starts/cycles), now time to test the accuracy and any speed increase Laughing emoticon

So, test ride of about 20 miles went fine, Speedo is now matches GPS, as far as extra speed, on a long safe stretch of road I was able to peg 80 MPH with no limiter kicking-in, perhaps on a slight down hill it would go faster.

Other than that test ride I mostly cruise at 65 to 70 mph (but nice to know it can go faster).

Also, the CEL light went out, so everything is back to normal. Best part is I learned a lot about my scooter
