First impressions:

Let's cut the back off a Pontiac Aztek and strip off all the paint.

A DeLorean being driven backwards at 50 mph.

Someone at Tesla found a photo of the Bertone Volvo Tundra and just ran with it.

Overall, I think it looks like a 1970s version of, "someday there will be trucks on Mars." I really can't imagine it being used as a work truck or aging particularly well.

Anybody else like it, hate it, could care less?

I finally saw one too, broken down on the shoulder of the road. Dumbest looking thing I've ever seen, like a 4 year old child designed it.

There are 2 of them in my neighborhood. I have a model 3 and I would like to meet the owners.

So far I have been lucky to have not seen one, but due to the so called "High Class" village just five miles south of me I would expect someone will get one soon!

There are a couple around here. One day the owners will wake up and realise that stainless steel isn't actually stainless...

Especially when it's bolted up to something truly not stainless.

I have never seen one in person. But when I saw the first pics, I thought to myself - "there's no way they are going to release it looking like that"! Well, I was wrong about it, pretty much like everything else I think is dumb. I thought the civilian version of the Humvee was dumb too, but they sold a lot of them.

We saw one tonight moving in the northbound lane on I-90. We were southbound, so the visual suffering was minimal.

I've seen it in person. It was larger than I expected.

I think it looks like what a talentless 12-year-old boy would draw if you asked him to draw a "cool truck". With crayons.

Have you noticed that most of them end up heavily modified ?

It's not the most pointless vehicle ever built, but it's up there.

The stainless panels, well they rust after a few rainstorms. Never fear though because for a mere $6k more they will wrap it for you in your (limited) choice of colors! They sound like a very considerate company! :vomit:

Definitely runner-up for one of the ugliest vehicles made: Azteck, Pacer, Tesla pickup

I've seen several. They were smaller than I expected.

One of them was black. Still ugly. And pointless from any practical point of view.

Nevertheless, I am in favor of things like this. They make life just a little bit more interesting.

The newer version (1998 - 2010) is indeed ugly.

The original (1965 and other years) is kinda cool, IMHO. It looks like a 1930s futuristic design. Maybe it actually is.

I get to see a lot of interesting vehicles here in LA. It especially intrigues me why some people drive what they do on their regular commute - poking along at 5 MPH in "rush hour" traffic.

One morning, as I was lane-splitting through said traffic, I spied two Ferraris, one new Corvette, and a McClaren.

I'm amazed the the McLaren was still running.

If it was a one-off thing built by some goofball it would be great, like this one I saw in Brooklyn one day. But it's not.

Ah, the CyberTruck. Butt ugly and incredibly expensive! I think I'll stick with my LEAF.

I'm sticking with my 2006 Ford Ranger 2.3 liter inline 4 with five on the floor. Only two options are AC and AM FM radio, had CD player but I swaped that out for an after market Jensen with a jack for a flash drive to play MP3's. Only thing I would change if I could was to make it the extended cab so there was room inside behind the seats. Just last week did a 400 mile round trip towing a small trailer to pick up used mower deck for my 1947 Farmall BN!

But, an extremely practical car in a country like Italy - and New Zealand. Can't see the outside when you are driving it, approach it from the back in the morning so you don't have to see the monobrow.

The internet works in strange and mysterious ways! In a misguided attempt to figure out when I took the picture I posted above, I held my finger down on the picture (in MV), which brought up "search with google lens", a thing I don't think I've used before. I clicked on that and from checking out my dumb picture, the first thing it said was "Prospect Heights Spaceship Car". Which led me to this:

I rode by a big lot that had many Teslas awaiting final setup for sale.

Among them were several Tesla Marsmobiles.

Well that's just stupid. For $22,000 he could have had an 11 year old car that looked and drove just like a brand new car.

I would drive that until the police told me not to. Reminds me of a Dalek.
