Cut the old cable, and use a bolt extractor.

Ok sounds good, after I cut the cable can I use a spare throttle cable I have that goes from the junction box to the carburetor on this or do I need a specific cable?

Well I was replacing the cable from the junction box to the carburetor because i went from the 12mm carburetor to the 17.5 and the forums said I needed a new cable. I dont what this second cable goes to (its my first moped) but I took it out to release tension. I accidentally got a second cable that goes from the junction box to the carburetor, would that work for whatever this one goes to? It's a et2

from what the condition of the outer cable looks like you need a complete new cable anyway, just order the proper cables.

If you go in to replace the cable, I recommend getting a new drove belt for the autolube pump too. https://scooterpartsco.com/210-vespa-c-801_802/throttle-cable-from-junction-box-to-oil-pump-for-vespa-et2-562408-p-36869.html And this? https://scooterpartsco.com/300-piaggio-c-801_836/piaggio-belt-for-vespa-et2-p-36264.html |

If you break off a a hard, brittle EZ out bit in the broken bolt you just created another even more frustrating problem. |

I concur. Take off the variator cover and you can reach the broken bit from behind. It's probably enough to jam a screwdriver into it.
Here's a picture from an LX50 2t, which is probably the same. ![]() |

Sounds good, I order all the parts. Except for the screw. What is the screw/bolt that I broke called?
