I'm somewhat of a scooter head, I have a few Spanish Derbis. I'll attach a pic for your reference if you care. Well I was asked my a family member to help them buy a scooter. But what type they asked? A Honda a Derbi a Yamaha a Vespa? The possibilities seem endless. As I am most likely the one who will be responsible for keeping it going, so naturally I was pushing a Honda! But I saw a vid on you tube and sent to my sister in law and said one you watch this you will only settle for a Vespa

Even though I'm a rocker she is a Mod. And on Sunday this weekend we are (god willing) picking up a 2003 Vespa Piaggio ET2. I'm not going to post a pic until we have it secured. After that I'd like to camp out here for a while with y'all

Jay, I'm a huge Derbi DS50 fan. I've had a few of them over the years. Best of luck with your ET2. She looks really nice.

Welcome from another 2001 ET2 owner! She is a stone hoot to ride and, with one unfortunate 7-year exception, two of her previous owners took pretty good care of her. (I'm owner #2 and, now, #4...)

The pic is her -- her name's Lily, thanks to Pete Townshend -- after she returned home from an extended stay with her mechanic for a much-needed "spa treatment."

Hmmm...how do I answer that?

Well, YES!

Once I had bought my '24 GTS 300 base model (Anita O'Day), I decided to track Lily down and, after 7 years, buy her back. The doofus I had sold her to had "tried to fix her" himself. 🤔 (Whatever was "wrong" with her was self-inflicted by the aforementioned doofus.) After 5 weeks and a hefty payment to a fantastic mechanic, I rode her home.

Now that Lily's back on the road, she's way fun to ride, easy to maintain, and makes me grin. But, then, don't all Vespas make us smile? 🤓

Victor
