I just joined the Vespa club of America. I got everything in mail today. What do the bees symbolize?

When the first Vespa was created, someone (I think Enrico Piaggio) said the rear end "looks like a wasp!" and the name stuck.
Vespa = Wasp |

I had no clue such a club existed! $35 isn't much per year...is it worth it, though? Not much Vespa activity in my neck of the woods (Lawrence, KS and KC MO)...but we do have a dealer in KC, which is super handy.

Eric In the two years that I've owned my GTS300 HPE, I've seen exactly one other Vespa in my area, though there are rumors of another around here someplace...but I have my doubts. |

Eric Funny story, though... when I went down to pick up the rusted hulk of the scooter in 2004, we found the original wooden shipping crate sitting in a corner of the yard. I almost brought that back too. Pretty much zip for Vespa activity here in Omaha too, as far as I can tell. There's a scooter club but it appears to be mostly people on "anything but a Vespa". |

For the $35/year you get free towing/roadside assistance. Seems like a good deal to me just for that.

Good point about the free towing, but my MC insurance covers that anyway...not sure if I need double tow insurance. |
