I have been focusing on getting a 2023/24 GTS, to take advantage of the upgraded front suspension design, Nissin brakes, LED's, etc ...
But would I end up with something better overall by getting a slightly older GTS model, then put some of the savings into upgrading the front fork/suspension with Bitubo or Malossi, some Clauss bushings, etc. ?? (probably will do the rear shocks, as well)
I am about 290 lbs., I prefer a firmer ride just for the sake of control at speed, but also want to avoid pure race shocks, a bone jarring ride, etc ...
I also thought about doing the same to a 2024 GTV, just for the quirky design change (headlight on fender) as well as the led lighting, and nice dash.
Those seem to be less $$ then the GTS's, at least locally --- plus there are a couple of them used/lo miles/great shape within driving distance.
Welcome all thoughts and opinions - and man, this site is a gold mine for info!
Thank you,

FYI, although you said pre-2023 with better shocks vs 2023 with oem shocks, the following might help if you buy a 2023 and then want to spend on the shocks:
GTS 2023 front shocks:
don't think malossi has made shocks compatible with the 2023.
zelioni is also an option. ohlins also has front for the 2023 but real expensive
GTS 2023 rear shocks:
all the brands are compat with the 2023 rear as these are the same as pre-2023
and for the GTV 2023, it's the pre-2023 GTS shocks that fit (front + rear). so all brands
(so yes, the GTS vs GTV are different - the GTV didn't get the upgrades to shocks or brakes)

The 2023 front suspension is a big improvement. I upgraded the front and rear shocks on my 2023 GTS300 with Bitubos, but it didn't make as much difference as it did with my previous models.
NB. Upgrading the rear shocks makes very little improvement. It is the front one that really benefits.
