Hi all, I have a 2007 LX125 and the paint is flaking off the underside. which way should I lean it ? I think if i lean it to the left, oil will drain into the airbox.

Can I lean it to the right? if so, how far?

Thanks!

It's not fine though, is it ? I thought the air filter gets soaked in oil.

Can you time it in with a service? Drain all the oil and leave it empty, then tip over the Vespa - paint. Then fill up the oil and swap out the air filter before you start it?

Option 2, can you brush paint underneath with it vertical?

Option 3: Get two block of wood to go under each wheel. Buy a front wheel stand to secure the front wheel and try to racket the front wheel in place so the Vespa doesn't move. This will then create more space underneath.

Option 4: Look at ACF50, which is a heavy wax oil that's sprayed on / brushed on to prevent corrosion. I know someone who has a classic Vespa with no paint whatsoever and purely wax oils his Vespa. It stops all corrosion.

It probably does not matter, but I would think you would want to drain all the fluids. As Jake already mention, time this with a service.
