I never pursued it, but i was very interested in fabbing up rear sets on my T5 track bike. I'm just guessing here, but i'm betting it would have dropped my lap time average by close to a second...which is absolutely a huge amount of time...x8 to 10 laps.

I used rear passenger pegs as a stop gap, better foot position, better lean control, however rear brake trailing was tricky. See this in the Indonesian circuits a lot.
