Hello,

Does that appears to you legit ?
It should be a VNB Italian frame number, but looking at different sites, none has an M before and after the serial number.
Could that be a Spanish Motovespa serial number ?

Or could it be the engine number, normally finishes by M that has been copied to the frame ?
Scam ?

Thanks !

That looks like it starts with "IGM" from here. That is the Italian version of their DMV which certifies it as a street legal machine.

It SHOULD be on the frame under the left hand side cowl.

Frame number should be to the left of the number in your pic, it looks like there are some marks there but I can't make them out. Try pictures from different angles and with different lighting.

Agreed, good idea. It may be under all the paint.

I hope it is under the paint and legit.
There was no visible number under the paint, I visited the seller yesterday and I took the picture.

I asked the seller to shave the paint on the left side of the existing number to check. I sent him a picture to show him where it should be. A least it is an Italian one !
No number, no deal

I was not aware that that this was a scoot you were looking to purchase. It is refreshing to see someone doing research BEFORE they buy. And I agree, no numbers, no sale.
