Hello,

I got a SIP VNA/VNB Speedo and SIP Fuel tap for a build - but I cant workout what the extra (orange) wire is for? What The? emoticon
Anyone have an idea?
Speedo all hooked up with extra wire..

If I recall it's for battery / charge voltage reading, connects to +12V DC. Leave disconnected if no battery…

This is how i wires up my Allstate VNA's SIP speedo to my 12VDC (with a battery). As Safis said, the orange wire is for the voltage reading.


And good luck fitting the speedo in the VNA's cramped headset. It's NOT a fun project.

EDIT: by the way, i ended up deleting the fuel level wires from my SIP speedo. I was running out of room for wires to pass through the steering column, so i simply cut out those wires. I never had my heart set on having a fuel gauge in the first place, so it didn't bother me whatsoever to remove it.

Thanks for that, and much appreciation for the wiring diagram. The other question i have posted here is for a 2 wire PX ignition barrel and your diagram has provided some clarity Clap emoticon
