Facepalm emoticon no matter what i change the tick over on my 250 gts is always hunting runs lovely but when i pull up at lights junctions the bloody thing is reving between 3 thou and 1200 sounds like a police car whaaa whaaa
any ideas muchly needed

Also check for and air leaks and make sure the air filter is clean.

Water pump! Happened to me with a brand new GTS300. Leaking water line causing the scoot to over heat and the fan would come on constantly.

Plus one for air leak around intake where the throttle body connects to the head. Look at the rubber connectors for previous " bodges" eg screwdriver witness marks or alternatively aging eg cracking of hoses. Lastly just check non of the hoses are loose on their connecting clips.
