So this seems like a weird one. Today I broke the shift lever in the selector box. This happened after a short ride at a stop sign shifting from N to 1st. Oddly enough this is NOT the first one to break on me. I recently built the engine up with a BGM clutch and a Malossi 221 kit. On the 4th ride out on the new engine I broke the shift lever. The engine was a basket case build and I assumed the parts were not right or something, so I replaced the complete selector box, selector spindle and shifter rod spacer. Now I break another shift lever. Nothing in the transmission seems to be binding. I can shift by hand manipulating the spindle while the bike is on the lift.

Anyone out there seen this before or have some insight?

I also just put a BGM clutch in my Malossi 210 and snapped the arm off 😳. I'm hoping it was because it was a repop newer one, so I sourced a oem Piaggio one and I hope it last a lot longer. I'm a bit concerned about doing it again with a tuned motor. Cheers
