I love mine. Jeannie puts a smile on my face everytime I hit that ignition button.
Piaggio has demonstrated a number of ways to do the trim on these Liberty's. Black here, chrome there, red spring, chrome spring. Matte paint, gloss paint. Chrome mirrors /black mirrors. Colored thread on the seats (colored seats in Europe)
Early S version had black wheels with spun-silvered trim - now all black.
I'm not a fan of every derivation - but it is the same scooter for 7 yrs running - as far as i know.
Mine was purchased new summer of 2017, from a Vespa dealer who folded his tent in rural Ohio shortly after I brought it home!
It receives scheduled maint. per the owner's manual with OEM parts - save for the dealer diag. plug-in. It has never seen a dealer - and has been flawless in all kinds of weather and temps here in Ohio. I ride year around.
The drum brake is the only item I'd criticize. Top quality elsewhere! Great purchase!!
