help needed
hello all, im a newbie so be gentle
ive bought what i thought was a 1974 sprint veloce frame serial and engine both come back as a SV, v5 says douglas, but a few peeps have said its not right, possibly a reapir job on front half as ive got a px style rear brake pedal, and other bits that arent right?
can anyone help?

I'll try and be gentle here, but let's start with: can you return it?

this is clearly a collection of parts that may somewhat resemble a sprint V but is almost certainly "restored" in south east Asia and comes with a whole truck load of problems attached.

it *might* not be all bad, but from first blush, and knowing how problematic these can be I want you to be prepared for the worst.

If it was advertised as a Sprint Veloce, which it really isn't, see if you can get your money back based on that.

i only needed one indicator to tell me this is a Vietnamese bike; P/PX brake lever on a Sprint.
