Does your vespa make this kind of noise? The resonant sound like a small stone dropped in a tin can.

Low effort post, new poster, peculiar video (see the last few frames), odd invocation of necropost…seems like a weird spam/scam setup. Is the engine shown a Vespa? The poster does not even purport to own a Vespa.
Is he trying to drum up YT hits? Get clout somewhere with replies to a forum post? Whatever it is, the goal seems nefarious and not what is stated in the post. |

But IP address is in Japan, and email is a very 'english' sounding gmail address.

The forum puts extra restrictions on IP addresses originating from China. The vast majority of the traffic we get from China is non-human, and most of it is extremely abusive -- either outright SQL injection attacks, or high-frequency scraping. Thus, new sessions for Chinese IP addresses usually have to pass an "Are you human?" question, which requires a fully functional browser client in order to complete. This thwarts the vast majority of bots, though some are sophisticated enough to pass.
So I'm not surprised that OP is using a Japanese IP address instead of a native one. And that fact isn't necessarily a sign of malicious intent, either. |

Maybe the frequency is only audible to people with good ears. Around here we're mostly old and deaf, and the slightly less old ones among us have riding induced tinnitus anyway.
The kids on Tiktok would've solved this one by now.

My English is not very good, so I need DeepL help for that, I describe that resonance sound will be the error of words, sorry!
My Vespa had a sound that bothered me for a long time. This resonating sound is like a small stone falling into a tin can. But it only makes this sound when accelerating slowly at 35km/h-45km/h. There must be something on the scooter that reaches a resonance frequency to make this sound. And it needs the engine to be hot to make it. I'm a mechanic who repairs cars and have been in the business for 10 years, and I absolutely rule out simple noises like license plates, exhaust, loose screws. jess wrote: That post you quote is over a decade old. Chinese vespa agents can't solve this problem, and there are some people by adjusting the ecu to solve this resonance sound, but it is obvious that this is the physical resonance of the metal, after adjusting the ecu, a lot of people say that the resonance sound disappeared, but the vehicle will be very difficult to drive!
