Has anyone here installed a USB port on their Beverly? I'd put one on the kneepad of my GTS which was a pretty obviously handy location. The BV, OTOH, doesn't have any inviting spots, at least to me. So, wondering in anyone more creative than I has worked anything out? The glovebox location has been workable, but it's a reach and closing the door on the cord isn't the best option either...

Cut a hole in a sensible place? The USB port will presumably be a permanent fixture, so there should be no qualms about such modification.

That's the challenge! The GTS has at least one glaringly sensible spot. The BV doesn't inspire. I'll sort it out eventually, just not seeing anything that calls out, "drill here!"

Where is the device that you want to power? The handlebar? The mirror stem? That's where you put an outdoor USB port.
Route the cable through the headset and you have a clean install. Use a pigtail for the last few inches to your device.

Do you have a 12V socket in the front storage?
I use an adapter 12V to double USB, similar to the one in the picture below. Simple and no need for any hole drilling.

I'd used one in my 2013. By 2017 they got all fancy and replaced the socket with a USB. Works, but the reach to the mount is far, and closing the door on the cord is a PITA.

I have a mounting ball on the center support for the windscreen.

Ant downside to a horizontal mount? Other than having the cover off in the rain?
