See photo. I think that attachment is not right, the handle (not the bolt) goes through the rivet hole in the back
But the eye at the end of the handle does not fit thru the hole.
I know there are 2 types of the handle narrow and wide when I was ordering the seat cover
Also is there supposed to be some sort of pad between the springs and the cover ?

Took me a lot of finagling to get the eyelets to accept the handle ends but eventually I got it. Lots of twisting and turning.

As far as a pad, yes there's a felt pad that goes between the cover and the springs. It's about 1/4" thick or so.
