What's this headset cover/handlebar setup from this random Scooterwest photo?
GT60 or maybe a GTV? It's the same chassis as your GTS, just has a headlight on the front fender, a smaller headset (instruments similar to the late PX series) and partially exposed handlebars.
First thing I thought...must be a GTV of some vintage, 'cause it sure reminded me of my first Vespa from 2011 -- a Portofino green GTV I named "Olive." Sold her 12 years ago...miss her every day. (But don't tell "Anita" or "Lily." They'd be jealous!)
I'm about to do speedo surgery to fix the fried polarizers, and this particular headset treatment really looks appealing as an alternative to the stock GTS speedo and headset cover. The other big advantage here is ability to adjust the angle of the brake levers. But I'd need to find something like this that includes the headlight mounting in it, since I have no interest in moving the headlight to the mudguard for the whole GTV treatment.
My headset cover has issues, due to age, neglect, and ham-fisted repair work. It's currently held on with zip ties to make up for spots where the tabs and screw posts are broken off. I would love some other solution. I'm tempted to try putting off-the-rack motorcycle hand controls on there, a universal headlight and GPS speedometer. Not as elegant as the GT60/GTV setup, but maybe a good middle ground.
