I have had the Faco adjustable windscreen on my Vespa GTS 300.

Because we moved from the US back to EU I had to sell my scooter and bought a new one

I found myself extending the Faco adjustable screen to the max and had to duck down to get the wind of my helmet.

Thinking about the Original Medium size screen with one of those ad-on adjustable wind deflectors.

Any advice on this?
Should I still go with the large windsail?

What adjustable deflector will work best with the medium screen (I don't mind drilling holes for a secure mount)

I have have a FACO adjustable screen and took it off. Extended to the max, it is about 7-10 inches from your face. Drop the front end in a pothole and that thing will hit you in the face so hard it will daze you. The way it mounts puts it too close to your face at a dangerous angle. It looks good, but I can't recommend it.

I opted for the Faco tall fixed screen, cut down to perfection. It gives way more hand protection from wind and rain as well. A bonus is that it uses the same mount as the twin screen, so I did not have hammer out the old mount.

Interesting you cut down the tall screen, how did you determine the hight and how did you cut it?

When I bought my GT200 used, it came with the large Vespa windshield. I took some off the hand area, and chopped down the height. For me, the sweet spot is to have the top of the windshield right at my mouth when riding in a relaxed upright position. This gives plenty of protection, forcing the brunt of air up over me while allowing me to duck down behind it in a rain storm. Have a look at this: How To: Cut Down a Windscreen (Post 2058699)

I had pretty good success using one of those add-on wind deflectors on my SMax to extend it just a bit. This one I bought was better than I though it would be when I 1st bought it. Plastic was high quality, fastening hardware pretty sturdy - just don't over crank when tightening. Lots of adjustability for height and angle of attack.

I've also cut down windscreens in the past. I've found that if you cut down to a point about the height of your nose is ideal. It allows you to see over the top edge of the windscreen to a point on the ground about 30 feet in front of you. This way you're not always looking through the windscreen dealing with bugs, rain and oncoming headlight glare; this height will also push most or all oncoming air up to the top/over your helmet and you can also duck down behind it.

Thanks for your input.

I am not planning on doing anything more then 80kmh (50mph) for any prolonged time. Usually country road cruising.

With my Faco adjustable windscreen extended to the full length I enjoyed the less wind on my body (fatigue / temperature) but the noise at my helmet was really bad and I found myself ducking down behind the screen avoid that nuisance.

A medium sized screen is a bit lower than the fully extended Faco shield. I am just wondering if these spoilers will do the magic to redirect the airflow.

Or should I just go for a small screen to protect just my torso and don't bother what is coming at my face.

Wha? emoticon

I currently have a 50cc Yamaha, 125 Buddy and BV250. All 3 have windscreens, all 3 are set to my mouth area for height. I find whether I'm going 30 mph or 70 mph, the windshield height is good.
