Modern Vespa

Hi all

I have a '21 Vespa GTS 300 75th Anniversary model with TFT screen.

I can connect the MIA app and get turn by turn graphics on screen but I don't get street names coming up on screen for the upcoming turn as is shown in the app and in the manual. When I bought the bike the salesman said there was a navigation module I had to get installed for the street names to come up on screen and they could order one to fit at the next service.

Well, I've just had a service and they now they say they've spoken to the national importer and there is no navigation module I need to install...I don't know if this is true or if they're just saying that because they forgot to order it...

I've tried using Steelbytes app and it gets stuck on "Negotiating" a connection so I can't get Google Maps navigation to work through his app either.

Is there a way I can check to see if there's any hardware missing? Should there be some kind of blackbox module behind the left knee pad or anything?

Re why no street name with their app but you get arrows: what do you see on the app screen while in this situation (ie, while there an arrow on the tft)?

Re my app getting stuck: i just uploaded an update about an hour ago, should be available later today (after Google approves it).

When approaching a turn I get a notification down at the bottom of the screen something like " ► unknown " Like it's trying to play a missing audio file or something.

I'll try updating your app when it hits the store. When using goodle maps through your app, should the little unfolded map icon come up in the bottom right of the screen?

"Unknown". Interesting, hmm.


Yes that icon should be there once connected. See video i just recorded for you.


PS, make sure your have "force stopped" the mia app before trying to connect with mine. They can't be running at the same time (both installed is fine).

I get the ALT and GPS information message pop up on screen when your app connects, but never get the map icon to show up (or any other navigation graphics) using your app.

The part marked in red in your screenshot from the manual (and labeled there with the letter "A") is the name of the destination or intermediate destination, not the road you are on/that you should change to...

I don't get any text there at all. Instead, at the bottom of the screen in a blue bubble I get " 🎵 unknown ▶️ "

It's been 24 hours and Google haven't yet approved my most recent upload to the store (sometimes quick sometimes slow).

If you want the apk so you can directly install it i can give it but only if you're that way inclined

My update has at last been approved, go to the store and get the update 2.0.109 and give it it a try
