The bike is a 2023 gts 300, less that 800 miles, it squeaks on initial acceleration, I believe this is belt slip, is this normal on this age of bike with so few miles, Thanks Ian
It's far more likely to be a glazed clutch. Do you accelerate modestly, or give it the beans as soon as the lights say GO? If the former, I bet it's the clutch. If the latter - something else, but a slipping belt is almost (not quite mind) impossible.
A 2023 with 800 miles must still be under warranty ( possibly only 175 miles since first service). Pop it back to the dealers and ask them to listen to it. 👍👍🛵🛵
Hi All, thanks for the replies, I have just had the scooter serviced and mentioned this problem, the guy said he would look at it, when I left after the service the guy I spoke to was not available to speak to me, the squeak is just the same.
At the moment I am running the bike in and taking it steady, I will try to start accelerating faster and see what happens. I will email the dealers and see what they say. Thanks Ian
