Modern Vespa

Hi All,

I've read some of the articles and it seems like a common issue with the MP3 that the horn will honk or a beep goes off.

in my case there is a long beep and it looks like the motor is in limp mode.

What did I try?

1. cleaned the sensors on both front wheels
2. topped up the hydrolic fluid
3. bought a new ECU behind the two front wheels
4. Cleaned all connectors I could locate on the front
5. replaced all fuses (budy seat + right front side)

The beeping keeps going off and I'm not sure what else I can do maybe a messed up by just replacing the ECU

All tips are welcome

Is a sensor/switch in the front that inform the ecu about the system limit. Is a black one, search for the part 642555

If is damage it generate a problem with the tilt lock inclusive some times don't allow to start the mp3

beep is a different fault code then a horn horn is a pressure sensor beeping is flued or voltage related

I think this part might be the issue the part number is different from my Mp3 but i will check if i can get one for my mp3

Depends of the year, the new ones use this part (6425555) for old ones is a kit, part number 1R000114

Do you know a place where to get the sensor when i google these partnumbers i will need to buy the full set for ±€500 i think it's just the black sensor in the front that i could swap

Try a bike breakers yard in Holland or across border in France, this part is same on many scooters

I know is a stupidly expensive part but I try to find for a friend a less expensive option and can't find. Try the bike breakers yard option if possible, or to be 100% sure that the problem is that part use it from a friend MP3 first.
