Hi, all! I got new MP3 400 S HPE 2023 model. Some vibration at some low revolutions not pleasent. Reading about possible solution to replace original rollers in variator with Dr.Pulley type .But cannot find anywhere what is original weight of my present rollers and what size and weight of Dr.Pulley sliders I shall order. Shall I consider A costa variator? Will reduce vibrations? Or cheapper solution to replace Dr. Pulley sliders will reduce vibrations?
Any advice welcome.Hope this info to be interesting not for me only , but for others as well.

easy to fix and cheap,

get a fuzzy washer and install between the various halves.

this adds 1mm to the existing washer,

and stops the shuddering.

Or take it back to dealer and make them fix it under warranty, should not vibrate to unpleasant levels.

I just passed first 1000 km service and dealer say this is normal. But on idle revolutions my GPS which I fitted under eindshield shaking so hard. Also when drop revolutions from speed to slow speed also some vibration.I Understood one cylinder and 400 cubs , but still Looks like too much. Will Dr Pulley rollers improve it or not at all? Some people say after such replacement was significant difference to better side.

Typical dealers, ask them to loan you another 400 to test to see if it does the same, I would not put any 3rd party parts on a new scooter under warranty, as they could use this to void your warranty.

my 2009 500 used to have horrible belt vibration. it would last for about ten minutes then smooth out. currently with no changes there is no vibration. I run the dr. pulley sliders. I have installed the jcosta on a few bikes. It is hands down WAY smoother than all other cvt out there. it acts like a harmonic balancer. I define it as the cvt that lets you know you had vibrations you didnt know you had.

great info, I did not know piaggio made that upgrade. guess they really do look at this forum and do testing on our ideas and thoughts.

I also see SIP on their variations has a built in washer already as well, at least for the 250 stuff. haven't checked their 500 vari's as I no longer own a 500.
