I could not live without them, so.. had some made.

1/4 inch 304 stainless. Nice and stiff. Note, each have a beveled edge so your foot does not catch on the plate. Made the peg bolt holes accept a 10mm bolt. so will also handle a 3/8 just fine. Been riding with them for a few weeks now. Love em. Note the sharpie marks are there to quick visual the bolts are not backing out, have not used thread locker yet. Have not tried the last peg position yet.

approx $130 plus shipping. No finish except a once over with a DA. If there is any interest, I will order a few sets.

WELL DONE.

I am sure you will get lots of inquires and sales.

also seek out folks on the MP3 facebook page as those folks are looking for them as well.

when I was doing them I had a minimum qty of 16 sets to order as that gave me a good price break from the fab shop.

I did all my shipping thru the post office it was the least cost and made sure every set was a priority mail for tracking.

the screws I ordered by bulk thru bolt depot.com

you should not need any lock tight.

Again great JOB

I'd be down for a set of these for my 2019 MP3. Assuming these won't fit?

As far as I am aware, these will only fit the 2023 and 2024 530 mp3. Any other model these will not fit.

Why not? Just mounting hole positions? Or haven't you tried, so cannot give affirmation?

I see that the mounting screws are different. These are offset the 2022 and later are aligned. Maybe possible to drill another hole

Brilliant piece of work, however not sure how the insurance companies in the USA are, but in EU and UK any type of fall and they will use anything non standard on the bike or scoot to not payout, nearly impossible to find insurance in UK soon for bikes and scoots AXA has already pulled the plug.

Anythings they can class as a 'non standard accessory' gives them the excuse they are looking for to void your insurance or decline to quote

Well I cannot speak for every insurance company, but mine is AXA in Germany and for them it is a very simple you modify from standard, we close your policy, and also it would not get past the TUV (MOT) here, so that would also void the insurance, seems things are easier for the moment in the USA.

Shout out to "Old as dirt", I think my first MP3 500 had a set of your famous foot peg mounts. If I knew then what I know now, I would have took them from my old bike. So be life

Things are FAR easier. Even here in California, there's no 'roadworthiness' test except for the emissions test. Insurance companies seem not to care, and anyone is insured to drive/ride your vehicle if you give them permission.

You wouldn't get away with this home-made scooter lift in the UK!:

highway style pegs and mounts are a standard style accessory, they are installed on many many many motorcycles.

Not in the UK, if they are not approved by the bike manufacturer then they are classed as non standard

I had highway pegs on my Fuoco in the UK (thank you OAD!), and Carole Nash were quite happy with that.

A satnav is not regarded as a fixed accessory

How long ago was that? It is only the last couple of years that they have started to get arsey. I think they are looking for ways not to insure MP3s due to the high repair costs

They might think differently if they saw my layout.

The top left display is Android Auto and dual cameras, top right is Garmin Zumo XT, left handlebar is my phone, right handlebar is Garmin inReach satellite communicator/tracker.

(I can't figure out how to post my image inline)

That was about nine years ago, admittedly. However, the UK is definitely not as severe as Germany on vehicle standards, and I bet highway pegs would be accepted as AOK. They're only after modifications that affect performance, not comfort. Otherwise an aftermarket seat would be frowned upon!

If I still had an MP3 in the UK I'd definitely fit highway pegs again.

Sadly jimc, you cannot imagine how much they have turned the screws on the biking and scoot industry in UK and EU, TUV and MOT is getting beyond a joke, and insurance companies are part of the problem, the days of easyrider are over in Germany and the UK. Facepalm emoticon

I would like to go back to Fruitcake. I dont mean to hound you, but I still want a pair of your manufactured foot peg mounts. I do own a 2022 MP3 500, but you have the next best thing. I am sure I can make it fit. If or when you decide to produce more please keep me in mind.

Unfortunately my fabrication guy is extremely busy. When I asked if he would produce five sets for me he told me yes, but it will have to be something he can get to when he has time. No discount and whenever he gets around to it. Based on past performance, it will be sometime before christmas. He said if I order 20 sets he would schedule it and I would have them in a two weeks. but 5 sets, he will get to when he can. I went ahead and ordered 5. Will let people know when I get them. I won't take orders until I have them in hand. I will reserve one for both HammyTan and Smithda1. If anybody else wants one let me know I will put you on the reserve list.
