This one will stay as original as possible being that it is in unmolested condition with only 800 miles on the clock.

Happy Easter everyone. I think the clutch is a bit sticky from sitting for so long. I clamped the lever to the grip for a day and it gives a little rattle noise when lever is pulled now. It has been ridden a couple of times now for like 20 minutes at the most. Sometimes I get the shift almost perfect, other times not so much Facepalm emoticon . The free play at the lever measures in spec and I need to give a little push off or a lurch and stall happens going into first.

So, do I run as is or maybe tighten up the cable? Has anyone seen the cork disk facings deteriorate from sitting dry for so long?

there is no doubt the clutch should be removed and have the plates & springs update at least. https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/clutch-friction-plates-surflex-standard-for-vespa-125-vna2t-081469-vnb-gt-gtr-ts-super-150-vba-vbb-vgla-b-gl-sprint-v-super-px80-150-pe-lusso-94_93053000

Haha, ain't it a treat that the tools needed to install the parts cost more than the parts themselves?

I'm probably going to order some tires and bag up the original since I do want to put some gentle miles on this baby.
