We recently upgraded our camper to a Class B+ RV and are hoping to take our two scooters with us on trips instead of a Tow Vehicle.

It looks like the one from Tow Smart Trailers will be our best option. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has actually used this trailer (or the one similar from Kendon). My concerns is that the front tire will not sit well in the chock, or that the front fender will hit the chock. Of course they say it won't be a problem, but then again their return policy would require me to disassemble the trailer and ship back to them via freight at my cost plus a 20% restocking fee.

(We also looked at hitch carriers, but the weight of our two scooters would exceed the 500# weight limit on our hitch.)

We tow a small, light weight utility trailor behind our Class B to take two scooters with us. I installed these Condor wheel chocks and they work just fine with 10 to 12 inch wheel scooters.

I don't know if this will be any help to you or not, but I originally saw a review of the Kendon Lift here on MV.
The only complaint the poster had was that he had to drill a few holes to move the wheel chock so it would fit his Vespa. He said he contacted Kendon and they said to just let them know that it's for a Vespa and they will modify it at the factory.
And I really wanted one so I called Kendon and ordered mine and told them it was for a Vespa and they said that they had modified the design so it should fit the Vespa without any changes.
Sure enough it did!
The only thing I did was added some of the foam pipe insulation around the tubular uprights to make them a closer fit to the tire. It doesn't seem to wear because it rotates when I push the wheel in.

Thanks for the info. I see you are also in Oregon, and as a fairly new Oregonian, I'm a bit unfamiliar with the DMV here. I've searched their website and it appears that since this is such a small trailer, it does not require a title and registration. Is that true?

"Light trailers have a loaded weight of 8,000 pounds or less, except trailers for hire (for-rent), travel trailers, fixed loads and special use trailers. You do not have to title or register trailers with a loaded weight of 1,800 pounds or less."

Thanks for the info. Looking at the specs, it appears that the new Kendon and the Towsmart are pretty identical, especially the chocks. That's a good idea to use the foam pipe insulation.

I would recommend you check out Facebook marketplace if you're on Facebook.

You'll likely find some pretty good deals just by searching Motorcycle trailer. I found several good options in the Portland area.

And using pipe insulation on certain chock styles sounds like a great idea! Just check for clearances on the wheel/rotor/fender.

Has anyone ever heard of, or had any experience with the "swivel wheel"?

Your post is the first I've seen of something like this. Looks sketchy to me. Single point of failure with an 8" wheel, that looks sort of like my wheelbarrow wheels.

May OK for short transport, but I'd be avoiding at highway speeds. What is the speed rating on that tire?

I agree. I had never heard of, or seen anything like this before, hence the ask. Thanks for the input.

We ended up getting the TowSmart trailer. Thanks for all the input. Here's a picture of us headed out on our first adventure to Olympic National Park.

Here's a better look at the scooters on the trailer.
