Modern Vespa

I have a 2008 250ie GTS.
I can get some used plastic fairing parts from newer models.
Piaggio and some shops list those parts as compatible only on certain year models - but I suspect it might be more of a color issue than actually a different mold.
Specifically at the moment I am looking at a 2021 front mudguard/fender, and a floor panel - which according to catalogs would not fit a 2008 model.
Can anyone confirm that info, or explain how bad is the mismatch?
Any experience on any panel/model year is welcome.

The fender will fit for sure, the shape didn't change until 2023. The floor maybe, there was a major facelift to the sheet metal in 2019. Anything up to 2018 should work.

Wouldn't go with mismatched colored parts unless you're having the whole scoot painted or painting yourself. Factory painted parts are still available from Vespa for less than it will cost to have them painted.
