The manual recommends changing the drivebelt every 12,000 kms, but here in Christchurch, NZ we have lower temperatures and mostly flat roads, so the belt could last quite a bit longer. Has anyone had a similar experience with their scooter and can tell me how many kms/miles it lasted before it had to be replaced?

12,000 ... unusual. every manual I've seen says 10,000 for the HPE and 15,000 for the pre-HPE. A 2019 in NZ might be an HPE

It's commonly felt that long periods on fast roads takes more of a toll on the belt.

Some have had failures at 10,000 even on pre-HPE
