VMC have really upset the apple cart with good quality parts at prices significantly less than the major manufacturers. And at least one of the three owners is a genuine Vespa nut.

Some kits are made for absolute peak power, and everything that goes with that - working hard to keep it on the boil.
The move away from that more recently to larger capacities that are more relaxed to ride is a good thing. Egig is promoting his by giving the torque figure and not just peak power... higher torque is easier to ride as you would know.

Once again, for me making these things do what they were not meant to do is as much a part of the fun as the actual riding.

Preach it, brother!

Whether stock and just getting things a little more efficient or going gonzo with a nutter of an engine is part of why these scoots are so enjoyable. Being at one with your machine out on the road really does it for me. Always great to have like minded people to ride and or share ideas and experiences with.

They look to have 5 kits which are potentially suitable but the descriptions by VMC (or SIP) are identical and make me none the wiser about what the curves are.

I want to keep carb and ignition stock. Just cylinder, jetting and exhaust.

Have decided to go for the ´67 75. Now a matter of making the deal.

Right, the cases of the 75 08C are identical to the Italian V50 and family. Kits should fit accordingly Especially VMC.

Grupo térmico and banana from them should be the ticket then.

Sent seller a message.

Also the VHB 19/19 is supposed to be a straight swap and those are cheap new with jetting for 125 from the shelve here. Am on the slippery slope already it seems.... Facepalm emoticon

The stock engine has some 3.5 hp (no torque specs available) at 5.500 rpm. Should not be much of a challenge to double the output within a reasonable budget. Not looking for a rocket; just more practical than quickish moped.

If the 75 is still for sale then:

1. Crimaz fork link.

and after that

2. Alu. cylinder kit (touring) and banana (touring) from VMC
3. VBH 19/19 with some jets

4. Sports seat

edit:

- Still for sale and am working on a deal.

- VMC are very prompt in responding but seem to be rácing oriented.

2nd edit:

- seller sent me a video of the scoot running; looks and sounds.... classic Vespa. Í think the rojo mate very cool/different, making the scoot appear even smaller, but it will for sure not be everyone´s taste.

Ok so VMC respond satisfyingly promptly but frustratingly not to the point.
Two answers further still none the wiser about which of the kits is best for the low/mid range.
I mean Kappa58, CP58, ET6 are different IDs for aluminium 135 cc. I get that the GS is grey iron and the ET6 144 same as ET6 135 but larger bore.
Nothing about the rev/torque characteristics

Dunno about all the VMC offerings but I run the 177 Stelvio in a touring set up and it's an absolute monster. Rev's over 9k and pulls like a sports car engine attached to a scooter.

My top speed so far has been 72.4mph. I haven't had the stones to go faster.

btw there are plenty 75s with kits for sale. Some quite extensively tuned. They tend to all be akin priced so some véry good vfm if one does not factor in the ´who dunnit´ quality of the work.
Plug&play never is always needs proper fitting and adjusting.
Hence only looking at those but not really contemplating.

The ´67 MotoVespa 75 is still for sale. The party whom went to see the scoot offered way too low. Not bad; resets the seller´s expectations a bit.

Will contact him again after the weekend.
