The speedometer on my 64 150 vbb, doesn't work. So I thought just go to Scooter West and buy one; the problem I'm having is I can't see a hole in my steering stem to put the Speedo cable though. I have the connection on my wheel for the cable to attach to. Am I missing something?
Thanks for any advice.

Cable goes through the fork. There should be a hole up the mudguard, close to the shock…

Ok, so is that the cable just under the horn, coming down and going into the mud guard? Is there a clip or something to keep the cable from rubbing on the tire?

It goes all the way through the fork tube. Pops out under the front fender like shown in the pic above. I had to dremel mine out a bit to fit a new cable. No clip, it won't rub.

What I mean is you won't see the cable behind the horn since it's inside the fork steering tube.
