Hi, I'm new here and fairly new to the Vespa world. I have a 2019 GTS 300 notte.

Unfortunately, it was parked safely and run over by another vehicle. It fell on its side and pushed down the road.

Since then the abs light and engine light came on when riding home and the power was restricted. The Speedo gauge thought I was running at 50mph but actually doing around 20mph. I managed to get it home.

The next day it was fine for about 1/2 mile then the same thing happened. Restricted speed. Fast speed on the speedo and both engine and abs light come on. After about another 1/2 mile the speedo completely fell away and showed no speed whatsoever.

The bike revs high but is severely restricted in speed.

Any ideas? Thank you kindly

sounds like the rear speed sensor tone wheel is bent (the slotted disk on the wheel). check it carefully with your eyes that it is not warped / bent.

having an inspect with your own eyeballs is recommended (and easy).

Interestingly enough, the front and rear are straight.

Only when the ASR is turned off there is full power and no problems but the AB's and engine light remain on.

The tone wheel is what we call the Speed Ring, there's only the one and that's on the rear wheel.

Yes apologies, I mean that appears straight.

The engine problem goes away when the asr is turned off. But the lights remain on the dash.

Should I just replace the speed ring regardless?

This certainly isnt my area of expertise but I do know when the Speed Ring is replaced for an alternative after market one, the GTS needs calibrating via the ASR.

Unless anyone wiser has anything to say to the contrary I would change it.

If you are convinced that both are straight then the next step is to check the gap between them and their sensors. iirc The gap should be 1-2mm. Check all the way around as you turn the wheels

FYI Both ASR and ABS use a combo of the front & rear whereas the speedo is solely from the rear.

Yes! All fixed! The gap was not correct. Thanks for your help and time, especially not seeing the scooter.
