Anyone who installed their own front touring rack, were you as petrified as I was to drill those hole in the front horn guard. Wow! Just happy everything lined up.

Great job, just do not put to much weight on them, they look solid, but weight bouncing on them can pull through the steel.

Put some clear paint protector under the spots where those plastic cups rest on the body. They can wear away at your clear coat over time.

I have a 2018 GTS touring model that came with the front rack and to this day have never used it.

I can see the use for a large quantity of toilet rolls.

Not meant to be a negative observation concerning that type of rear Vespa rack, but what is the point of it folding to an upward position when not in use?
When folded upright, does it make the bike easier to park in small spaces or a tight garage? The spring loaded folding front rack makes sense to me, but not so much the rear. I'm genuinely curious about that feature? |

the weight of a topbox with luggage in it wiggling back and forth broke the spring on mine.

I'm genuinely curious about that feature? Aesthetically being upright is a lil bit more pleasing than when flat. I don't use the Vespa as a leisure/pleasure vehicle but to commute on and to haul stuff. The rack helps even though having the rack(s) in my view ruins the look for me. The Front rack maybe something I would consider using if I were to go someplace overnight and carried more than just one bag, but thus far I haven't had the need to use. |

I should have some kind of answer but I haven't other than just like my trousers it does look tidier up than down and no, more efficient parking has no bearing on it's function whatsoever. |

I've carried a pretty heavy rucksack down through France and Spain as well as all over England in the last year and the front rack is still solid and reliable. It's a must have for me touring two up or camping. |

I can't help but wonder what the advantage is, if any, for this kind of rack over just a fixed type. Perhaps it's simply traditional for classic Vespa scooters. |

One of the few racks that still hangs off the top of the legshield is the FACO. So if you are thinking about getting a rack, and worried that if you overload it and hit a bump, everything will fall down onto the front tire, that's a good one to check out. I'm not sure why Vespa switched to the bolt in place version, except that it offers a cleaner look, maybe. But there's no way I would put a case of beer on the new Vespa front rack.

I really like the look of Vespa front and rear racks. Perfect for waterproof riding bags front and back for an extended ride. If I have anything to heavy, I bungie cord it directly behind me on the seat.
