Dear Vespa riders,

Allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is Tim, i am 31 years old and from the Netherlands. I have always had a soft spot for older scooters and especially the Piaggio ones, and now i'm considering a Cosa 200 or maybe a PX. Main reason for the Cosa is that i like boxy, quirky models more than the mainstream models.

My main concern with the Cosa is parts availability, is it much worse than with the PX? I guess that fairings and Cosa specific hardware is hard to find. What do you guys prefer, except for the looks ofcourse and should i go for a Cosa? Or is a PX a much better starting point.

There is a stranded, disassembled but complete Cosa project for sale and a complete driving one, i prefer the complete one since it can be a nightmare to assemble something from scratch if you have not disasssmbled it as well. What do you guys think? I'm a pretty experienced mechanic, having rebuilt many scooter and shifter moped engines in the past and having rebuilt a NC23 CBR400RR and RC36 VFR750F myself. So the technical stuff should be no problem in general, but assembling someone elses mess seems dodgy to me.

Thanks in advance and love to hear your opinions!
